The Gateway Team recently had the opportunity to interview Dr. James Canton, CEO and Chairman of the Institute for Global Futures, about the need for accountants to adapt to new business models, trends, and challenges in the near future. In this first of the five-part series, Dr. Canton stresses that accountants will continue to be trusted financial advisors in the coming years but will also be expected to provide guidance on how changes in many different areas will impact their businesses, including but not limited to technology, the environment, and social trends.
